Insert slowpoke.jpg. I kept up with most of the updates surrounding Wonder Festival this summer 2010, but really, I was hoping there would be nothing that caught my eye. By that I mean the kind that shout “MUST HAVE!”. Well, wishful thinking. Luckily it was only really one figure, since the others were announced long ago, or already on preorder. No, Nendoroid Ikaros above (from Sora no Otoshimono) is not one of them. I just felt she made a good image to start with.

To be completely honest and fair I actually thought this would be a much darker picture drama concerning Nami, since that is how she has been portrayed after being released from her inhibitions especially in the second half of the series, after she met Aleida. This picture drama episode is set right after she met Aleida, it seems.

Your deposed emperor of fabulousness, Lelouch, here bringing you the 2nd of a trilogy (1st of 2 parts) of WonFest 2009 posts by our trinity of Yuki-to, myself and Panther. As always, WonFest brought more temporary joy and never-ending wallet (I guess wallets are no longer useful since they won’t be holding any cash soon anyway) agony for the figure faithful. For this part, I’ll be presenting the announcements from Max Factory, Wave, Yamato, Gift and Aoshima even though most of the stuff that I want are from Alter, which will be in the care of Panther.

As everyone knows by now Wonder Festival is currently going on over in Tokyo, and the event has just started and already the pictures are flowing in. Sneak preview of new figures starts with this new Miku above, based on an illustration (link thanks to Fuzzy of Kyouran Kyodai). Looks like Wonder Festival 2009 Summer is upon us… just a quick rundown on the figure updates from the money-milking figure manufacturers…

Venue: Makuhari (not at Tokyo Big Sight it seems)

Notes: Basically where almost all figure manufacturers (not just an isolated show like what Good Smile likes to do) show off their new and upcoming releases. Not only limited to PVC figures, but garage kit makers are here as well. A breeding ground for exclusive figures that makes people scream in eternal anguish.
