So not too long after I made a tweet about it, I figured, why the hell not start? At least I got to start somewhere. This is the first in a series of posts so far, despite the end of 2009 already approaching, about the current entries in my top picks for 2009 (winter 2008 anime season till fall 2009 season, the latter of which is still going on). Of course, this list will be limited only to the series I have seen and/or complete. This first post will be about the OP and ED theme songs as well as the singers/bands (who are all grouped together).

And so I know it is pretty late, the spring season is more than halfway past, but here are the rest of my spring impressions. I would like to seriously express my thoughts on them, and thus, here we go.

And so Oda Nobunaga continues with his advance into Hinomoto, conquering the lands as easily as cutting pie, killing wherever he goes. His weapons remind me of a certain veteran stance in Granado Espada, but whatever. The very fact that he uses a sword to cut up his opponent, then finishes him off with the gun tells much of his evilness.

And out of the metal/rock raving band, abingdon boys school, comes another straight single for a second straight season, for a second straight shounen series Sengoku Basara, the song “JAP”. I had been listening to the PV rip for quite a while before this, there is really no difference between the two.

And so the latest episode of Sengoku Basara finally features one of the two women I like in the show – Nou Hime, wife of the Sixth Devil King, Oda Nobunaga (why oh why is she married and to such an evil person…wait she is evil herself <3 ). Spoilers follow for those who have not seen it, of course. I watched the raw by the way. Here are the few highlights from the episode other than Nou Hime, whom we will turn to last.
