So, I am a little late to the whole thing, but this has been alerted to me just only today (by the time this gets posted it will be yesterday) about a certain person within the local (SG) cosplay community having overstepped the boundaries of decency and been labeled a person who sexually harassed about eight girls, possibly more. And so this episode was almost fully about Mirai and her recollections, but this time with way more emotional impact, making clear the fact about Yuuki that people might have suspected and/or known since episode 8. I suppose I was thoroughly surprised by only one scene (not shown in this episode, but in episode 8).

So, since this post is highly dependent on you having watched this episode beforehand, please do not go any further than this first introduction, as spoilers abound. Admittedly however I got spoiled ahead as to what was confirmed in episode 10 that was shown in this episode, but actually, if you viewed this episode a little more carefully, it would have been obvious you would have reached the same conclusion as the major thing that was confirmed in episode 10. Anyway, again, I am doing this before reading any other posts on it.

Convince me that Bakemonogatari is not actually about Araragi’s harem and his fetish for lolies. Seriously. After the Mayoi arc it was almost confirmed, and with the splendid (read: erotic) introduction of Nadeko in our latest story arc, I think we should all resign ourselves to the fact that we are watching a serious anime for the lolicon. This is a bad sign – looks like SHAFT will win the Studio of the Year award based on fetishes so far shown in the show.

The lateness of this post can be attributed to my recent slacking of doing much in the way of things – I am into my second week of my 12-week gym cycle, and the second week is always the hardest to keep up with, through hard experience. So other than being tired, I also had the extreme lack of motivation to do anything long. In fact I know I mentioned on ghostlightning’s post (link later) that I will make a short post for this episode, but the problem was that I read quite a few others’ (including his) thoughts on it and now I have more than I would write on my own.

Anyway as the title suggests, Freud is a fundamental part of this episode and the arc itself, which I will go into only at the end, when I talk about my general impressions of this episode, and the arc.
