So not too long after I made a tweet about it, I figured, why the hell not start? At least I got to start somewhere. This is the first in a series of posts so far, despite the end of 2009 already approaching, about the current entries in my top picks for 2009 (winter 2008 anime season till fall 2009 season, the latter of which is still going on). Of course, this list will be limited only to the series I have seen and/or complete. This first post will be about the OP and ED theme songs as well as the singers/bands (who are all grouped together).

And so, after a long wait, the OP of Kemono no Souja Erin is finally out. However, “Shizuku” is not the main track in the release, but rather “Niji no Recipe”. Since I listened to Shizuku first, I shall touch on that before moving to Niji no Recipe. Sukima Switch is the duo that sang both.

I know, this ED single has been out a long while now, but cut me some slack, I had so many other things going on and the lack of motivation hardly helped. In any case, since I am supposedly still doing episodics for it (despite being stuck at episode 3 for the longest time now), here is Kemono on Souja Erin’s ED, “After the rain” by cossami.

So apparently, for the past week, this blog, for once, actually seemed like an anime blog. The world must be ending – this blog is actually like an anime blog for once! Since people like to pick on that particular aspect so much, I thought I would bring it up again…so eh. To those who think that, get a grip. This is a blog on my interests and it just so happens most of my interests fall under otaku culture, which includes anime. If you are going to use the layman’s definition of “anime blog” on this blog, go ahead, but picking on a serious definition and throwing it in my face is something that I find sad.

I am so freaking late with this one this time round. Lots of reasons contributed to the lateness of this post, largely personal or blog-related. Well, now it is here, despite two of these series already having aired their first episodes. Who gives a shit, most of it starts in January anyway. This time round too, I had to elicit the other guest writers’ opinions on the anime they want to or not want to watch, so the delay is somewhat explained too. This will be a rather long post.
