So sorry, but this should have been up earlier. This must be the cutest, if not the catchiest, ED this season. Then again, those of you who watched Shin Koihime Musou: Otome Tairan already knew that. It just ended last week by the way. The song was sung by Kan’u Unchou (Kurokawa Nami), Sonsaku Hakufu (Yoneshima Nozomi), and Sousou (Maeda Yukie), otherwise known as Engi no San Otome (the Three Maidens of the Romance of the Three Kingdoms) in the single. I initially thought it was the three sisters, but guess not. Anyway, this season is the best out of the three so far, and it really was good, mindless fun. So, without further ado, enjoy this cutest ED, the full version is a little better but that is about it. The ED animation is what makes it all worthwhile.

Light of Dawn – Annabel

It’s been difficult to get posts out lately, as the motivation just isn’t there. Nonetheless, I was somehow able to generate this review. Bantorra, while not one of the great shows of the season, has as an appealing ED that far outshines its OP (a not terrible ALI PROJECT track). Does the positive initial impression on the TV size carry over to the full version of the song? The quick answer is no. (Now you don’t have to read the full review!)

la divina tragedia ~Makyoku~ – Jimang

I think I’ve stretched myself out too thin covering anime and music, so I’m going back to just writing music reviews for anime OP/EDs. Someone asked me a while back to try a negative review, since so far I’ve only focused on reviewing things I liked. Well in trying to think of a song I hated, the Umineko ED theme immediately popped into my head. In contrast to the beautiful OP track, the ED track is terribly disappointing.

So I’ve decided to cover every single OP/ED this season and provide some first impressions.  I will be doing the impressions in parts because new shows come in waves.  It also makes posts more manageable.  Impressions are in relative chronological order from when the show was aired.

For each OP/ED I will post a screenshot (if available) and provide a YouTube link for viewing, along with my impressions. I apologize for the picture quality, since it will vary from blurry to crystal clear.  This turned out be more time consuming than I expected, but I always find it fun to look through OP/EDs, even of shows I’m not watching.

Although the show itself is great, it’s Bakemonogatari’s OP and ED that help put it over the top as my favorite show this season.  While the constantly changing OPs are always fun to look forward to, the ED has been the same since the beginning.  I’m not complaining though, as it is the most addicting ED this season.  Even as I have lost count of the times I’ve listened to the track, it never gets old.
