And though I had hoped to be able to finish this series before the end of 2009, it appears that a few other things had my attention and that this will likely be reduced to a weekly thing. That might not be a bad idea considering that I also have the 2009 in Retrospect series to do and can thus devote just one part of my time per week to have something consistent for a while. Anyway, here are the ED theme songs that caught my attention in 2008 and also the best of them, completing a 2-part series on theme songs, the first being on OP theme songs.

And we move to the next category in the 2008 in Retrospect series, that of OP and ED theme songs of the various anime series I may have watched or completed throughout 2008. Some of these songs do come from series that I planned on watching but never got around to (or perhaps plan to watch in the future). This list includes songs from the well-established shounen series Bleach, and despite its downfall in 2008, I still regularly listen to and prefer some of its songs to others. Anyway, this post only covers OP theme songs; ED theme songs will be covered in the next post of the series.

Welcome to the first part of the Anime section of the 2008 in Retrospect series. You may find the other posts in this particular series via the tag available in the Meta dropdown box at the bottom of this post. As of this point though, the other posts are (obviously) not yet up. This first part deals with the series that I watched since spring 2007 to spring 2008. All ratings are arbitrarily assigned at the time I finished them and I follow the same ratings that I use for them on ANN.

Today, or rather, yesterday by now, the Miyazawa Models Expo 2008 Fall was held, featuring models and figures that have just been released recently, are about to be released, or will be in the future. I will only talk here about the figures that I am interested in, have ordered/preordered and stuff. No I am not interested in the above picture, I just thought this was cute and nice to use as a cover image.

November. The month of the constellation Scorpio in the zodiac. Not a month that I particularly like indeed, for many reasons. The blog theme for the month is Negate November, which I know many of you will find strange, for how can November be negated? Indeed I had the hardest time looking for something that meant “dark” or “subdued” starting with the letter “n”, so this is the worst I could come up with. I do believe there is a “negate” (where the “e” is read the same as the “e” in “end”, so “ne-gah-tae” is the pronunciation, I was too lazy to look for the symbol), but since I am not too sure on that, I just went with what I knew. And now, we move on to some important topics.

Just as a brief overall look, I will talk about the blog theme first, before moving onto my request for writers, and then my request for song translators and the songs that I wanted to get done translating through others’ help.
