So sorry, but this should have been up earlier. This must be the cutest, if not the catchiest, ED this season. Then again, those of you who watched Shin Koihime Musou: Otome Tairan already knew that. It just ended last week by the way. The song was sung by Kan’u Unchou (Kurokawa Nami), Sonsaku Hakufu (Yoneshima Nozomi), and Sousou (Maeda Yukie), otherwise known as Engi no San Otome (the Three Maidens of the Romance of the Three Kingdoms) in the single. I initially thought it was the three sisters, but guess not. Anyway, this season is the best out of the three so far, and it really was good, mindless fun. So, without further ado, enjoy this cutest ED, the full version is a little better but that is about it. The ED animation is what makes it all worthwhile.

Edit: This is now the post where I will take names for this concert. There is now a news post announcing that for all IAHGames’ gamers (that is quite a number of us) there will be a discount in the purchase of tickets (there is no mention of a limit but I should think there would be) – 15% by 11th April, and 10% thereafter until 1st May. So if you want the 15% discount, the most expensive seat is still possible but by 11th we will not be thinking about getting it as the discount is not worth it. Not since “Shijun no Zankoku” (The Purest Cruelty), the ED for the yuri series Venus Versus Virus, has Yousei Teikoku moved me this much with a song. Admittedly I have not listened to more of their singles or albums than I would have wanted since then either, but “one” is definitely on the same level, perhaps even higher, than Shijun no Zankoku was, as a song.

And though I had hoped to be able to finish this series before the end of 2009, it appears that a few other things had my attention and that this will likely be reduced to a weekly thing. That might not be a bad idea considering that I also have the 2009 in Retrospect series to do and can thus devote just one part of my time per week to have something consistent for a while. Anyway, here are the ED theme songs that caught my attention in 2008 and also the best of them, completing a 2-part series on theme songs, the first being on OP theme songs.

And we move to the next category in the 2008 in Retrospect series, that of OP and ED theme songs of the various anime series I may have watched or completed throughout 2008. Some of these songs do come from series that I planned on watching but never got around to (or perhaps plan to watch in the future). This list includes songs from the well-established shounen series Bleach, and despite its downfall in 2008, I still regularly listen to and prefer some of its songs to others. Anyway, this post only covers OP theme songs; ED theme songs will be covered in the next post of the series.
