The first webcast episode of the last three episodes of the Tsubasa Cat arc of course sees a drop in animation quality due to the streaming, but nevertheless manages to keep up closely with the storyline and the goodness that Bakemonogatari has been bringing to us during its TV season. We return to the problem at hand with Hanekawa being the subject this time round.
SURPRISE BUTTSECKS!
But first we have a return of the perennial loli of the series (despite what you all say Hachikuji is still the loli of the series since Sengoku is more like the imouto of the series for me), Hachikuji Mayoi, and Araragi wastes no time in fulfilling his lolicon desires.
And Hachikuji wastes no time in paying him back.
I have to admit, Emirin’s voice work during this part was, as usual for Mayoi throughout the series, fantastic. Emirin’s representative work this year must be Mayoi, as is probable for all the other seiyuu involved (other than Senjougahara’s father, who was done by Tachiki Fumihiko) in the series itself. And of course, Araragi got what he deserved.
Lol, Hachikuji’s expression, and her rubbing of her eyes afterwards. And then, the constant of hers that shows up again, the stutter, though this time it leads to even more.
“Kami wa itta.”
“What kind of miracle is this!?”
I wonder if the “miracle” screencap was a parody of something yet again, but Hachikuji leading into the “Kami wa itta” was pretty good.
Lol yes, most people would indeed normally pick Hanekawa. But then again, the impression Senjougahara has left on many since her first appearance in the series will not be beaten easily by a generic smart meganekko…until she turns into cat form maybe. And Araragi’s ahoge stands up when he mentions Senjougahara, a fact which is not lost on Hachikuji.
Once again, Shinobu is talked about. I wonder if this will be yet another lead-in to the final arc between Araragi and Shinobu, the total resolution of his vampire problem. If the series has taught me anything, such observations will not be left insignificant in the long run. I really hope for an OVA or a movie of the final arc.
DUN DUN DUN. Araragi is officially Shin’s brethren and comrade-in-arms.
It is quite surprising how Senjougahara instantly let him go once she heard his reason. After all, when it comes to Araragi, we all know what humanitarian aid means for him. It was a nice way to put it though, for Araragi. And Senjougahara did have some screentime, which is always good.
Oh a wonderful jibe, mentioning herself (Saito Chiwa). After her wonderful work in this series, much different from the norm (if you also watch Sasameki Koto, Taema Miyako is more like the usual Saito voice that I know), I would not be surprised to see her landing more roles in future anime with this kind of voice and superb work.
Rather than the problem of incorrect bike parking, I would be more worried about Araragi’s stance there. WTF? Also, lol at Hanekawa being a stickler (most likely, from the way Araragi puts it, as usual for her) for such small issues.
Did they have to make them so obvious? Boobs are always good though.
“Araragi-kun. I’ll get mad.”
Nyahahahaha, pervert shot down immediately, Araragi-kun. Even Hanekawa can see immediately what you are trying to do.
This entire part about the radio show was filled with language-based jokes. Nicely done, though I wonder if Hanekawa was being seriously ignorant about most of it, having Araragi actually explain it and all. As usual Bakemonogatari keeps up the humor through intellectual and other (like fetishes) means, but this part was actually mostly irrelevant to the subject at hand and the storyline. It did show us once again that Araragi is kind of the trivial stuff when it comes to knowledge, a fact which Hanekawa compliments him for despite him not thinking it is one.

Haaaaaa. I loved Hanekawa in this episode.
Though Araragi being more perverted than he usually is was quite unexpected in this episode.
Cuz throughout the series, he just didn’t come off as that big of a pervert.
But hell, this episode showed that he’s perverted and a lolicon. looooooool
Hanekawa looked quite hawt when she wore PJ’s and had her hair down. >.>
Only watched about 5 minutes into the episode before I got bored.
Shin’s comrade you say? that may very well be him in person. look, even the comment he made suggest accordingly
