As you might have realized, my posts on figures have been exceedingly lacking because I frankly no longer have the same kind of old passion as I did, but rest assured I still have my figures around, and actually still do preorder them on occasion. But of course, I am not only more restrictive on what I want, but I find that with the lack of passion, I also get less interested in new releases as time goes by. That is a good thing for my finances. The latest Miyazawa Models Expo 2009 Fall is no exception – I found far fewer figures to be interested in compared to last year’s, but for those that I am interested in, why not have a look?

All the pictures are from AkibaHobby’s photographic report of the event, Moeyo’s report, and HobbyStock’s report. You can see more pictures on their sites. Further info regarding the figures are thanks to Wcloudxkumo’s post on the event, though most of it was left unknown. Thanks to all of them for the pictures and information.

Apollo 11 & Saturn V

You must be kidding me. This is Apollo 11 and its booster rocket Saturn V; for the uninitiated, Apollo 11 was the first ever successful manned landing on the moon. Commemorating Neil Armstrong’s landing, are we? Nevertheless, this does look pretty big, so I wonder what scale it is at. By the way I believe Apollo 11 and Saturn V are both to scale (ie. that is how small Apollo 11, in front of the rocket, is compared to the booster it rode on).

Ikaros from Sora no Otoshimono by Grands

Ikaros! Not that I was not expecting it, considering how they have the Nendoroid version of her in the opening credits for the sponsors. However the figure maker must be a new one – it is called Grands. There is no scale on this figure yet, and it will retail for 9000 Yen…what? That is a lot. I am guessing at least 1/7. Looks like a potential leaner, but seeing as how Sora no Otoshimono is one of my favorites this season, and that Ikaros is a very nice Angelroid, I might just get this one, depending on how she turns out.

Lucia Dark Version from Pangya by AmiAmi

I raged pretty hard at this one. Looks like this is a limited version of AmiAmi’s Lucia, from the chibi golf MMO series Pangya. WTF she looks better in this color scheme, though I hardly mind either, but still, WTF. If there was going to be a limited, I would rather go for the limited. Of course, since I already preordered the normal version, I will just stick with it as the limited would be way too expensive to get anyway.

Selvaria Bles from Valkyria Chronicles by ebCraft

ebCraft’s Selvaris Bles (from the game Valkyria Chronicles) just does not do it for me – there is something off with her stance and more importantly her face. I am all for Alter’s version but there is no other info released on that yet.

Imari Kurumi from Bible Black

I have no idea who is making this figure, but this is Imari Kurumi from the hentai series Bible Black. Thus far, out of the Imari figures I have seen, this one has the best pose and the most potential…but whether or not it will turn out fine is something best left for the final color sample to decide. I am not planning on getting this one either, though Imari is my favorite girl in the series. According to the other posters that were available at the event, two more from the same manufacturer (whom I suspect to also be ebCraft) from the series are also coming – that of the student council president and some other. See, I cannot even remember their names.

SwordswomanWang Yi from Sangokushi Musou 3

Wang Yi from Sangokushi Musou 3…or something like that. Took me a while to figure her name out from the Kanji because there is no such word in the Chinese language. Seriously the best looking figure so far that caught my eye at the expo, and I will definitely be taking a closer look at the end product. Dark blue attire, a sword, an awesome sitting pose – what more could I ask for?

So, did any of the figures there catch your eye? If so, who? Are any of these on your to-get list?

And finally, a WTF picture to end this post.
