So I debated the title of this post and originally wanted to put “Princess Charlotte”, since half the episode was on her, but well since we did focus on Silvia as well, I figured it might be better this way. Besides, this episode touched on both the girls I really like in this show, so to not include Silvia in the fix is just unfair, even if I like Charlotte more than Silvia, while Senjougahara ranks between them this season (yes she loses to Charlotte despite Senjougahara Fascination, f00ls).
This scene was subtle female masturbation. Nothing else. Yuu gets off just by watching Teppei across the seat. Enough said.
Mystery solved – Mezu Haruhiko is actually an alien with 5 heads and a twirling body in disguise.
“I’m about to get fresh with you Arima-san and we’re going to have a yaoi moment!”
*insert FYG screams here*
In fact, Mezu is telling Teppei about an ero nude party of sorts that they can go to by just wearing freaking masks.
Teppei has such a nice hard-on he needs a freaking curtain to cover it further beyond his own pants.
Talking in secret behind Yuu’s back. Teppei is a closet eromaniac.
Mezu & Teppei both get hot and sweaty just thinking about the party. Unfortunately they are busted by Charlotte who drops in innocently asking where they are headed. Turns out she wants to borrow Teppei for a date the next day (weekend I believe), but then she decides to go through Silvia first, since the latter is Teppei’s fiancee after all.
My two favorite girls in one shot and I so wish for a yuri moment, especially when they held hands near the end of this conversation.
“Dame?” OH GOD I HHHHHHHHHHNNNNNGGGGHHHHHHH Y CHARLOTTE SO AWESOME AND KAWAII, OURE NO OYOMESAN NI NARITAI
And Maria van Hossen is not as innocent as she looks, such scenes were made for Shin who indulges in such lolies as Hachikuji Mayoi. Maria broke her sister open with this one attack too. Season of power lolies.
And of course, Silvia is embarrassed to be sexposed.
STOP DOING THIS TO ME DAMMIT I CANNA TAKE THE NOSEBL- HHHHHHHHHHNNNNNNNNGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHH
Never doubt a professional butler’s sources of information.
This censorship. It brings me to whole new levels of rage. Seriously.
And Silvia calls Charlotte but has no courage to say what she actually wants to say, and instead asks Charlotte to take good care of Teppei. Ah poor her.
“Tooi kedo sugu yo.” I LOL’ED, OSAKA DAMMIT. Rich people have different ideas of distance and time.

I really like this outfit of Charlotte’s, but it was way better in the eroge than here.
“Are, hoshii!” (I want that!) Oh god Charlotte, you too awesome. I lol’ed hard at the poor penguin too.
I want to be the wolf dog so bad. And Charlotte did not even take offense at Teppei sticking his tongue out so pervertedly. Goddammit.
So much Charlotte goodness and cuteness in this episode I exploded.
Contrary to popular belief, they never ended up kissing despite looking like it in this particular scene in the cable car. Teppei did remove his coat and put it on Charlotte as she was getting cold.
And one might almost never imagine it, but it does appear that Charlotte has something sad to hide as well. More on this in my impressions at the end.
And here comes the surprising part for most – Charlotte actually asks Teppei to marry Silvia. She then goes on into the backstory on why she and Silvia are such good friends and how Silvia lost her mother when she was still young.
Both were pretty cute back in the day as young children. Apparently both countries of Silvia and Charlotte got along well, so Charlotte was often with Silvia during the early days. Here Charlotte is getting worked up over Silvia writing using chalk on the ground, and she is asking Silvia to stop.
Lol @ Charlotte. As cute as ever back in the day.
A touching moment of Silvia’s past. She is unable to understand that her mother really has died and thinks she will return soon, all her confidence in that smile of hers. Broke Vincent’s heart as you can see, and he later passes the pendant to her.
And so Teppei goes into philosophical revelation speech here. I kind of agree though, despite all their money, people like Charlotte and Silvia would actually be more lonely than the average person. This is proven by Charlotte’s expression here. Lots of vector opportunities get.
And Charlotte hugs Teppei from behind, but it is no longer her usual friendly hug, but one with a simple wish – to ask Teppei to never forget about her.
Despite her tendency to be a Saber ripoff, Silvia’s many awesome shots in this episode and in the eroge’s HCG is really very well done, and she looks more beautiful IMHO than Saber.
Impressions
First of all, WTF with that Mezu “reward” for standing in for him during the interview. An ero nude party of sorts rofl. At least we had very little Seika to deal with this episode, she had all of 3 lines and one cameo. And Yuu was really practically wanking during that scene in the car.
As for Silvia, it is quite obvious she is now pretty enamoured with Teppei, being about the only other friend she is very close with…or even has, aside from Silvia. She must feel very lonely indeed. Her background story is sad, she must have taken a heavy blow as she grew up and realized that her mother was indeed never coming back. Toyoguchi Megumi did a great job of moving between young and current Saber Silvia as well.
From the way Vincent mentioned the troubles in their country as well, it must be tough on Silvia who must shoulder the responsibilities of her family and yet be torn by her liking for Teppei. As Vincent said though, he merely wanted them to forget about all their duties and everything else, and they could just all live in peace here if they so preferred. I wonder which will Silvia choose later on, duty or love.
Then there is the matter of Charlotte. From her conversation with Teppei, it is quite obvious that she either has something very sad to hide or that she is leaving by winter. I am wondering which it is, but seeing her so sad out of the blue, considering that she has always been very bubbly throughout the series so far, is making me blue as well. So she does have something to hide, not that perhaps, people would not have seen it coming.
She looks ready to cry at any time during this scene, and all she wants is for Teppei to not forget her despite her liking him so much. Further, she wanted happiness not just for Teppei but for her best friend Silvia, because she knows she cannot be around them for long. Why this girl so nice. It breaks my heart to see her so sad. Kind, cute, lovely, bubbly and coy girls like these are rare gems. Ok wait, they exist?
So this brings up further the question of whether Teppei will still end up with Charlotte, or instead, with Silvia. Can he end up with Yuu instead, I want to see him defile a maid that wanks just by looking at him across the seat. Also because I rather Charlotte and Silvia not be defiled by him. Yeah what am I saying. Oh, and Yuzuki Ryouka was really fantastic as Charlotte throughout this whole episode as well.
Very lovely shot. Instant vector request.
So, it boils down to if Charlotte’s story is if she cannot stay, or has something to hide. I somehow border on the latter reason, no idea why, just a hunch. Also, Silvia’s backstory is rather weak as of now, so maybe they will develop it further. Next episode looks like it will be an obligatory onsen episode, so more fanservice and possible vectors! Also possible outrageous censorship, urgh. Vector opportunities were at least abundant throughout this one and I hope to get more next episode. Also, Princess Lover now also deserves its own category, though, like Bakemonogatari, I may not talk about it every episode.

Pretty sure, based on what Alfred (Charlotte’s butler) says in the carriage after Charlotte puts the charm back in her purse, that Charlotte is only in Japan temporarily. My study of Japanese isn’t advanced enough for me to pick up his exact words, so if anyone can provide a Romaji version of his line which sounds like ‘Ojou-sama, nihon kabure mottaigai nishte kudasade.” And then there are Charlotte’s comments on the Ferris wheel when she looks so sad when Teppei talks about being busy having fun with her in autumn and winter.
For Charlotte her sadness will boil down to 2 things:
1) She’s dying
2) She’s already taken. She might even be pregnant since she pulls out a easy childbirth charm.
Now if we want some predictions way out there..
3) She’s engaged to Sylvie’s father.
4) She’s been messed with since of age and is already married.
zirinbaku: I watched the subs already, and yes, looks like she will be in Japan only temporarily, which makes it the more likely that she has to leave.
Khyron: Both are silly guesses, IMHO. From what Alfred said it is quite likely that he was afraid she would fool around in Japan or even do it deliberately with someone she likes just to escape a possible marriage. 3 and 4 are obviously out of the question. Stop defiling Charlotte this way.
