It is for scenes like the segment at the end of episode 21 that I watch TeaTytania for, not to mention their tactics, both in and out of the battlefield. I have to agree with Yamcha on this one – Tytania needs a second season. Oh, and the best touch during this segment was the karaoke version of Ano Sora wo, Ike until the end, when the very last part of the song was sung in order to amplify and highlight the emotions and the mutual understanding of each other that both Fan and Jouslain had.
I am not sure how many agree with me, but the animation with regards to their flagships and space battles have been pretty fantastic for me. It is like a mix of old concept with new technology, a facelift if you will. Really loved the animation during this part as you can see above.
This is also why I think we need a second season – there are not enough episodes left (after watching 22 as well; the series runs for 26 episodes) to further develop their relationship and Tytania’s eventual downfall. I would truly like to see it being extended slowly with a good plot.
I also liked the way that Jouslain and Fan finally “recognized each other’s presence” and existence. A truly good way, without physically meeting, to realize the existence of another powerful opponent, mutual respect for each other in the field of war.
Oh and I do want to translate Ano Sora wo Ike’s lyrics, but eh, without formal Japanese skills, I have to ask for help which I doubt anyone wants to give, considering past requests and “responses”.

Indeed 21 was a great episode even if it took nearly a whole season to get here. At first it looked like Fan was going to get captured yet again, but it seems Jouslain actually wants to have some fun by acknowledging Fan as a worthy rival and letting him go. I’m looking forward to see how Fan matches up against the four dukes in battle, especially the rematch with Ariabart and the inevitable clash with Jouslain. I also want to see Ajman do more besides just sitting at his desk looking cool.

I have never seen Tytania except the first episode. It didnt get me interested while I was watching it. Does it get better as you keep watching it?

Yamcha: Ajman is meant to stay behind his desk and look cool. That be the point, since Jouslain needs to shine. Inevitably too, Fan will probably engage in a fair fight against Ariabert. Now those two battles (including Jouslain’s) will be a great thing to see.
Ranger: If you are not into slow development and space opera shows, more about the politics and relationships behind the scenes, better not. Still, the battles and CG animation have been great so far.
