I do realize, I have not updated for quite some time now. The biggest reason why is because I was lazy. I have no idea where my guest writers went, probably busy with the reopening of school, which I can totally understand. I am still looking, just so you know. And soon after this, a scheduled post I made quite some time ago regarding blogroll and website link exchanges is coming up, and beyond that I think I will focus on the “2008 in Retrospect” series, which I know I have yet to begin on. Cut me some slack, the anime episodics were quite the pain for a while since I was trying to be speedy in posting them up. :\

I will of course be keeping up on figure news and other stuff, but yeah, the poll for the anime episodic of winter 2008 is still on, vote for your series that you would like to see me doing impressions on if you have not. Other than the occasional sudden required post though, I doubt I will be doing anything else other than 2008 in R series till Chinese New Year. Alright on the main content for this post.

In Wonder Festival Winter 2008, Disk Vision’s Eve was announced as an original resin kit figure, with limited quantities of her Girl Next Door Version sold there. I was totally sold on her back then, but I was also a huge noob and had no idea she was being sold as a pre-painted resin. I later saw her Cowgirl version at E2046, but I was, and still am, hardly interested in resin figures.

Then at the recent Hobby Complex 06, a very interesting version of her was revealed. I still have no idea what this version of hers is called, allow me to say it be the Angel version, due to the way her undergarments are designed.

Like I mentioned back then, this is still the best version of Eve that I have seen yet. And though I only heard rumors back then, it is now confirmed with Hobby Search’s opening of her preorder – Eve is finally coming to us in PVC form, brought kindly to us by Daiki Kougyo.

The listing at HS now has pictures, and we can see that this will be a beautiful figure if Daiki carries it through. As I mentioned in my December Figure of the Month, Akuma-san 2 Limited (NSFW), Daiki may not be the best manufacturer around, but they do such stuff on a rather regular basis, so I hope they really keep up the quality and not let Disk Vision’s products down. Eve will obviously be a castoff figure, I just hope Daiki does not make her too convenient in terms of castoff, such as having broken arms, and such.

Of course, the retail price is a hefty one, considering how big she is at 1/5.5. She will retail for 13,800 Yen and is scheduled for release in April. Again, due to the huge cost and the exchange rate’s instability right now, I am going back to my local figure store to preorder her. I doubt if she will be on many’s to-get list though, not just because of the cost, but because she is relatively unknown, and quite frankly the resin version of her will always be better.

    • Samejima: Monies, they are always a pain. :\

  • @Panther: Yeah, Eve’s come a long way. I remember when she wore *actual clothes* back in January ‘08, lol.

P.S. While your 1st photo displayed immediately, the 2nd and 3rd photos seem to be taking a while. Are the links broken?

    • Jayman: They are from Hobby Search, HS always lags when people hotlink to them lol. Maybe next time I should just download and upload to my own blog, they always rename the links after a while so the pictures no longer show up on other sites.
