Today, or rather, yesterday by now, the Miyazawa Models Expo 2008 Fall was held, featuring models and figures that have just been released recently, are about to be released, or will be in the future. For the full coverage of pictures, you may head over to AkibaHobby’s coverage (three pages worth) and Moeyo’s (info of Moeyo’s thanks to Wcloudxkumo). I will only talk here about the figures that I am interested in, have ordered/preordered and stuff. No I am not interested in the above picture, I just thought this was cute and nice to use as a cover image.

I have no idea who she is…from To Heart 2 perhaps? I like the hair color and the way the figure is displayed, but otherwise no I am not getting her, just relevant to my interests is all.

GSC’s new Horo, from Spice & Wolf. She actually is being done by a reputable company this time round, but still, not good enough for me to be perked about her. Maybe if they do a NSFW one.

GSC comes up with yet another Yoko, this time though a 1/5 scale, but under the word Gift? Perhaps this is meant only as a prize? Still there is a release date, tentatively set at April ‘09. Not interested, but thought others would like to know.

Uesugi Kenshin from Sengoku Rance never looked more at ease. She looks like a great girl to get but still no suitable figure of her out. This one is done by FREEing.

The biggest gun in a figure that I have seen to date still – Limit Gunz. She will be out later this month, done by Art Storm. Fariz preordered her.

I have no idea who is doing this, but this is for sure a very fappable addition to anyone’s collection of almost-h figures. From the Bible Black series, this is Saeki Kaori (blonde) and Takashiro Hiroko. I hardly like Takashiro, but Saeki is wow, though incomparable to Imari Kurumi.

Kisaragi Chihaya from Idolm@ster series. Mentioned before in my preorders, you may now be surprised to find that I have actually canceled her preorder. More on this in a later post. The blue and black contrast of her hair is nice. Now you know what birthday present to get me.

Takami Rin from the eroge series Lyrical Lyric, by Solid Theater. Delayed for over two months and she is now scheduled for a late December release, according to her display card (see picture directly below). Screw you m3rryweather. This figure is still in my preorder list, largely thanks to you and Hemi. Happy now? I win.

Kuon Setsuna from Samurai Girl, by Solid Theater. Another canceled preorder. She was also delayed for two months. I look at the finishing of this figure and its color scheme, and I feel a little regret. But well, she looks really nice…but whether or not I can justify buying her is something else. Also among the first PVC figures to feature a mirror base. Also a possible birthday present.

I have no idea who she is. Going by the possibilities of the figure information next to her (see picture directly below) though, she should be an Orchid Seed figure. At least, this sample has me interested to see the final one.

Oh finally more illustration-to-figure adaptations. I really liked this image, have it somewhere in my HD I believe. Of course, I have to take a risk with Orchid Seed, but recently their quality has at least been improving, and they are well known for doing ecchi figures, at least with some degree of respect. So I will of course wait for the final sample to show herself and see whether she is worth getting.

HHHHHHHHHHHHHHNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHH

Chouun Shiryu’s incarnation via SMC, from the Ikkitousen series. Like Squee mentioned in IRC, this one actually looks kind of cool.

Ooohhhh mmmmmmmyyyyyyyyy hhhhhheeeeeaaaaaaarrrrtttttt~~~~~

Of the mecha models I expected to see, I did not expect Battletech. Wow. Models by Yamato, 1/60 scale. Thanks to Xak in IRC for helping me identify the first two as the Warhammer, I had forgotten how it looks like. The Rifleman in the third picture was the clincher for me, but I was confused by the Warhammer since it looked like a cross between the Mauler and the Hellbringer, the former an Inner Sphere mech, and the latter a Clan mech. The Warhammer did not appear in the simulation Mechwarrior series, hence my lack of first-hand recognition. Argh, forgetting my roots is bad. :\

And ending this post with something out of the norm, oppai mousepads. You can see Rosario + Vampire mousepads, as well as one of Kanu Uncho from Ikkitousen, and beside her, Kizaki Emi from Kurogane no Linebarrels. None of which really perk my interest, but they are interesting. Also, the poster with the red background showing a dakimakura cover is of Amanda Werner from Blassreiter. No money to buy even a dakimakura lol.
And there were a few others but I decided not to bother about them. This is basically it for me at the event. Anything in here that you preordered or want?

Ahha, no wonder the series sounded familiar. But this is a 1/5 scale, WTF? Well even if WF is canceled, you can still have fun visiting and exploring Japan. Of course, you need to bring lots of monies along if you are doing what I think you are planning to do lol.
omg ~~~~~~~~~~~ see no evil!!!
that kenshin figure has a certain calmness about her. when is your soniko arriving btw? ^^
@Kippei -
You can never unsee what has been seen.
@K -
Wait, what Kenshin figure? Soniko is scheduled for release only in January 2009. -_-
Wants Saeki and Chouun
Panther: K was refering to Uesugi Kenshin probably, and oh she really looks good….
@YuKi-To -
Oh shit I forgot she was inside the post lol.
I’m only interested in the Gift Yoko myself.
hmmm… the top one might be the most interested figure in my mind ^^;
The Horo looks pretty good and the mystery girl second from the top piques my curiosity as well, though I’m not sure either as to who she is >_>
@ETERNAL -
Indeed. I am not that interested in Horo though, primarily because I still believe a better maker such as Alter or Max Factory can come up with one of her.
