Ame Ga Furu, as you all may know, it is the ED for one of Fall’s animes; Kurogane no Linebarrels (Linebarrels of Iron) by Sakamoto Maaya.

The SINGLE with the same name contains its Instrumental version and another song with a special Piano + Maaya, which, I have no idea why they named it, 1+1…Well, anyways, the track list is right after this, with my thoughts about the songs.

1) Ame ga Furu (雨が降る)

2) Praline (プラリネ)

3) Ame ga Furu (without Maaya)

4) Praline (1+1)(Piano and Vocals only Version)

Ame ga Furu starts with a slow pace and melancholy rhythm which moves on to a unique, catchy chorus. At first, I didn’t quite like the song, but after listening to it for a number of times, “Hey, this isn’t that bad.” ^_^. I like the vocal better than the instrumental version because the vocal plays a part in making the feel of the rhythm reach out better to the people listening.

Praline isn’t really nice to me…it’s because of the repititive rhythm which made me bored of the song very quickly. Sakamoto Maaya’s fans may actually look over that because it’s not a really big put-off, though it usually is for me if something repeats itself for a number of times…Starry Sky by HAL for instance; Didn’t quite like the chorus. The Piano and Vocals version is nicer in my opinion. :3

The Lyrics of Ame Ga Furu: Kanji and Romaji can both be found at gendou ; English translations are over here.

  1. Panther Panther Said,

    I felt the single lacked the impact it had as the TV sized version though. But it still is pretty nice, just not up there.

  2. Kazearashi Kazearashi Said,

    Nope,
    “My catchy song detection-radar is not reacting to this song all this time”
    lol

    Erm… maybe the OP by Ali Project?

    Oooh, wow, never expected you to comment, hehe.
    Well, I’ll try the TV-size soon, or maybe now!
    *downloads TV-size*, since it’s actually a small file.
    Yeah, it’s ok, slightly above average. ^_^
    How was Praline for you, btw? :3

    Lolol, yeah, it’s ok~ Though I thought it was fitting, but it’s just slightly above average. ^_^;;
    Wah, the OP is done by Ali Project?? <–hasn’t watch Linebarrels yet) O_O
    And thank you for commenting. ^_^

    @Kona -

    Praline was surprisingly good, and Ame ga Furu was good but towards the end I guess the change in pitch threw me off. Both versions of Praline however, were good in their own way and very nice to listen to.

    @Panther:
    Owh, well, it’s good that you like Praline. ^_^
    Kona not giving Praline love.
    I prefer Ame Ga Furu better, for some reason…*rubs head*
    Pitch? heeeeh

  7. YuKi-To YuKi-To Said,

    This song caught my attention when I watched the TV-Size ED, agree with panther that the tv size sounds more impressive. Prefer Ame Ga Furu than Praline though, prior sounds more unique ^^…
    Ame Ga Furu for me sounds like the type of song which is nice at first but the longer I hear, the less I will appreciate XD

    @Yuki:
    Oooh~ Then I MUST try it. I thought gendou had the TV-size, but nope. Only the full version…=_=
    Yep yep, Ame Ga Furu nicer than Praline to me.
    Lol, same here. Or was it because the only songs in my playlist that time was JUST the SINGLE??? O_O
