I made my way to the beach, cursing myself for being late. Even if there were not many girls today, it would still not do to be late as the photographer for a shoot. Especially with the ladies involved, I thought grimly. It was more the reduction of the length of time I was going to be them that I was pissed about, than actually being reprimanded. Thinking such thoughts, I arrived at the beach.

“You’re late!” Elwing turned. I stopped breathing for an instant. She was dressed in a light-green 2-piece, with a green towel wrapped around her waist, exposing one leg up to the wonderful thigh area.
 

“Hey, what’re you staring at?!” Elwing quickly withdrew her profile from me, and I apologized profusely.

“Well, so long as you weren’t too obvious about it,” she winked, and at that moment I wanted to seriously believe the redness in my face was due to the hot sun.
 

“Blanc Neige isn’t here yet?” I asked.

“Why, can’t wait to see her in a swimsuit?” Elwing giggled, and again the color took to my face.

“Well I just don’t want to take up too much of your time, since this shoot won’t take too long and you girls want to enjoy yourselves anyway.” It was a weak attempt at trying to hide the truth.

“Yea right, as if anyone would believe-” Elwing was cut short by someone behind me.
 

“Oh I had a hard time looking for you Elwing!” To my surprise, Mitsuki Hayase walked past me up to Elwing. I had heard nothing about this.

“Hello Hayase! Sorry, I did wonder why it took you so long to reach me, hehe. You look splendid, by the way,” Elwing added. Indeed, she did.
 

Mitsuki turned to me and asked, “Who’re you, the photographer?” I gave an affirmative answer. “Well, why are you standing there then? Or are we still lacking people?”

“Blanc Neige was supposed to come, but she’s late! I don’t know where she is right now,” Elwing answered.

“Isn’t that her coming now?” Mitsuki pointed.

“Yes, it is! Yoohoo Blanc Neige, over here!” Elwing waved.
 

I turned to quite the sight – I had expected Blanc Neige to be wearing a one-piece swimsuit, but never did I imagine that she would appear not in that, but in a two-piece. Blanc Neige walked right up to us, dignified as always.

“Sorry I’m late, something came up for a bit,” Blanc Neige said upon her arrival. She looked stunning. Then, I noticed something was amiss.

“Um, Blanc Neige?” I asked, and she turned to me. “Yes?”

“Your hair…it’s short.”
 

“Ah…don’t worry about it,” she smiled and winked back at me. Ah, who would still be concerned after seeing such a smile?

“Shall we continue? Not a lot of us here, but I guess we can always make do.” Blanc Neige snapped me out of my daze. “Em, sure. Ladies?”

They posed for the shots and off I went clicking. It had been earlier decided, it seemed, that Blanc Neige and Elwing wanted some of their shots taken together first, while Mitsuki hardly seemed to mind that.
 

“Hey Hayase, let’s take a shot together! I’m sure Blanc Neige wouldn’t mind too if you did an individual one with her as well!” Elwing beckoned.

“Why not?” Mitsuki said, and she kneeled down beside Elwing in a suggestive pose, stunning me for an instant.

“Hey, quit looking and start snapping!” Mitsuki almost yelled. Oops, I thought.
 

“And now, for the group shots! Hurry, I want to get a dip!” Elwing said, rushing the other two into their positions. I smiled at her eagerness to finish with the shoot and have a fun time at the beach.
 

“Ok girls, I’m going to take a slightly different angled shot, don’t mind if I do?” I asked, hoping to move to a better angle for a different look.

“So long as it’s not perverted,” Elwing retorted, and I was caught off-guard.

“That’s not what I meant…” I mumbled as I moved. Mitsuki and Blanc Neige both stifled their giggles.
 

“Ok gals, we’re done-” I got interrupted by a shout from far.

“Heeeyyyy!!!” I turned to see a girl in a dress running up to us.
 

“Fauna! I didn’t think you were coming! When did you arrive?” Elwing was pleasantly surprised.

“Just, Elwing. Shall we go have fun at the beach now? Oh, who’s this?” Fauna noticed me for the first time.

“Our photographer, we just finished with our shoot. Oh, is that Shana?” Elwing pointed beyond Fauna, and I saw Shana slowly saunter up to us.

“Yep! Say, since he’s here, let’s get a group shot, ok?” Fauna suggested.

“Why not? One of the memories, though it’d have to be our last since it’s about time we went down to the sea,” Blanc Neige said.

“Ok!” And so I took the last shot for the beach.
 

“Ok ladies, I’m off,” I said as I packed up. “So later tonight at the Palace of the Gods?”

“Yep,” Blanc Neige replied as the rest rushed down to the sea, Elwing and Fauna foremost. “We’ll see you back there then.” Her smile was oh-so-enticing.

I smiled back, and said, “Sure.” I wondered as I left whether there might have been better words I could have expressed.
