Anime Character Storyline
Hinagiku is first shown in episode 4 of Hayate no Gotoku!, where she calls out to Ayasaki Hayate, the main character, into helping her down from a tree. She had gone up there to help a small bird that had fallen off the tree, and could not get down due to her fear of heights. Emphasized at the beginning of the series, her acrophobia will continue to play a part throughout the series.
Hinagiku later brings Hayate up the student council’s clock tower, at the top of which is the main headquarters of the Hakuou Academy Student Council. It turns out she is the president of the Student Council there, but never looks out of the balcony due to her fear of heights. Her sister soon appears, and Hayate finds out that her sister is actually a useless teacher at the same school, and had tried to stop him earlier.
Hayate makes the observation not long after this that Hinagiku is even more stubborn than Sanzenin Nagi, his employer mistress. Indeed, Hinagiku is shown throughout the series to be a headstrong girl, yet also fragile at heart at times, especially when she realizes later that she has grown to like Hayate.
Hinagiku, or Hina, as she is called by her friends and sister, is also in the Kendo Club, where she is revered almost as an idol by the male members. She is indeed very popular in school, and has many suitors. However, unlike most of the other students, she comes from an average family, and made it into the prestigious Hakuou through her grades and academic prowess.
Hayate no Gotoku! hardly has much of a storyline, but at the end of the series, we see that Hina has made new friends, especially with Nishizawa Ayumu, a girl who confesses to Hayate from his ex-school, before his life took a new turn with Nagi, and who likes him very much. Though the scene is not shown, they go to Greece together, to get to know each other better, at the last episode.
Description
As mentioned, Hinagiku is headstrong and stubborn, to the point of getting her way whenever she wants to. However she is also righteous and loves to help others. She is also almost always irritated by her sister, but loves her nevertheless. As in the liking of Hayate, she shows a soft side that is hidden by a strong exterior. Not exactly moe, Hina is used throughout the series as a sort of fanservice, and is indeed one of the strongest contenders in the series for “favorite girl” amongst male fans of Hayate no Gotoku!. Her pink hair certainly helps in that respect.
Miscellaneous Information
One known figure of Hinagiku is out, that of Taki Corporation’s 1/8 scale. It is a disappointing figure, and certainly, one hopes for a future, better Hinagiku figure.
Hinagiku is also the Japanese name for the flower-type daisy, and Hinagiku’s character song, Flower of Power, reflects this.

Ah her bibliography is looking good; great picture poses and very secretive date (adding to the mystery). ^_____^
Ive seen Hayate no Gotoku up to ep 4 i think.I dont know why i stopped there tough…
I heard that the quality of the series dropped pretty fast?
Hyn: Second one is a vector from one of the fanservice shots inside the anime itself. The others were taken off 4Chan, no idea where they originated but I am guessing they were also originally vectors. Yay Hina!
Blowfish: Not really, it depends on if you know about other anime series and the parodies. Nabeshin, though I had no idea who he was at the time, was awesome. Afro, yo.
Nabeshin also appears in HnG? Awesome!
Looks like ill have to restart the series
PETTANKO!
Its altophobia i believe not acrophobia as there is no such thing. Anyway hinagiku is one of the most popular bishojuo in manga right now
@Cain -
Sorry to disappoint but acrophobia does exist, and to make sure, I also checked altophobia in Wiki, and it redirected to acrophobia. Link.
Yes, Hina is too hot.
Sorry if it’s been long time from the last comment, but i was failing in love with Hina when…. i saw Panther’s avatar. Which anime is that from?? Can you please tell me?
If you can answer here, please send me an e-mail. Thanks!
darklink: You do not touch my first wife. Therefore I shall never answer you, but I can give you a hint. It was a disappointing anime series adapted off a game of nearly the same name that aired in summer 2007. The game also sucks as a hack-and-slash but the character designs are godly, not to mention she and her series have been mentioned many times in my blog now.
