For those who wondered why there was no update yesterday, that was because I was hosting a console session, or what you can term as a gaming session over a console (in this case, PlayStation 3), at my place. It was an overnighter, and quite frankly I lasted for like nearly 24 hours without sleep, only had a brief half-hour nap before we went for breakfast and everyone left, the whole thing ended around what, 10:30 AM or so, and when I finally got to sleep it was 2 PM in the afternoon since I was busy cleaning up the parts I mod in the Calibur Forums.
Anyway this marks the last post in the Wonder Festival series covering the summer event this year, exactly a week after it took place. You see Orchid Seed appearing again, but this is not because I really like it, rather because I had no idea, at the time I made the first post, that AkibaHobby would make one for each of the major, and minor manufacturers, along with famous Japanese figure shops online and offline. You can find the images I use in this post in the Griffon and Orchid Seed posts AH made, much thanks to them for complete and wonderful coverage of Wonfes!
Now, let us move on to the figures.

Forgive me if I am wrong, since I never watched the Melancholy of Suzumiya Harubinhi, but the third unpainted and unfinished PVC figure here is gothic punk Nagato Yuki? The three famous female members of the SOS Dan from the series, complete now in this set by Griffon. You can find more pictures of the unfinished Yuki at the Griffon post. I believe she is announced for the first time. Goth Punk Mikuru, featured at the right side in this picture, is set for release late this year I believe.

Someone correct me if I am wrong, but this looks like Belldandy from Ah My Goddess. The detail available on this figure is intricate indeed, I am wondering if Griffon can pull it off. More pictures of her are available over at the post.

Choun Shiryu, Griffon style, castoff PVC, from the series Ikkitousen. The castoff was noted in a card at the side of the figure, you can see the picture of that at the post.

Could this mean a new Kanu Uncho figure from the series Koihime Musou is coming? This one depicts her holding a sword, and if Griffon pulls it off well I might get it, as the other one is fully nude and is not a castoff figure at that.

Nekomimi version of Kanu Uncho from Ikkitousen series, this is the one I canceled the preorder for. The two reasons were that I bought it somewhat on impulse, and that a better version of her came out anyway as a Wonfes limited, though it was just a color change. You can see this version below.

Wet Uniform version of Kanu by R-Line (not sure if R-Line is under Griffon). Looking at the body change option, I am definitely not getting this one, having a bad experience already with Griffon’s LTD DX DVD Box Ver. of Kanu. Trust me, do not get Griffon’s limited or DVD box versions. Their body parts suck.

Now we move onto Orchid Seed. Actually I already mentioned them before in the first post, but since I have better pictures now anywhere, I might as well do it the whole way. This is Aya from Oneechanbara series. Like I said, I am not getting her over Alter’s version, but others may be interested. The pose certainly is better in this one, but not the face.

Not sure what this version of Kanu is, but this is her limited, her normal is of a red bikini. Orchid Seed will do better, I hope, than to just change colors for limited Wonfes versions for future Wonfes events. This one is particularly famous for the camel toe.

The lovely Mizuho Kazami from Onegai Sensei series, which I have yet to watch. This is the normal version, the limited version is featured right at the top of this post. Notice the color scheme difference. I far prefer the Wonfes limited, seriously. But do you think I should be looking for the Wonfes limited edition? Other than being next to impossible to find, there is also the problem of how costly it will be if I were to try. I have the normal on preorder right now, but I am thinking about it.
And that ends my Wonfes coverage for the summer event this year. Tomorrow, look for a post on my impressions of SoulCalibur 4, after nearly a full night of playing it, and hope that Wonfes 2009 Winter will be better than both of this year’s Wonfes!

getting old. hahahaha
a couple of years back me and my friends still organize such console events tho. brings back memories…
PS3… how was using darth vader?
AC: Yes, creepy shit now. The longest I ever went was 36 hours, I seriously cannot go longer than that, though I heard of people who went something like a week without sleep. Godly.
K: I do not like him, and do not bother using non-standard casts that are obviously not supposed to be in the SC series. >_<
HOLY SHIT KANU KANU KANU KANU.
today i had a good look at your site. it’s amazing dude. i can’t believe your wrote a probably introduction for all the blogroll, links and figure tag. great effort mate!
Kanu in black bikini is hot (lol…personal preference). even i believe most people would go for Rei on bike.
Thanks George. Some of them I ran out of ideas for and may have been bland or stale though, but I am ready to accept changes to any of them if the owner of the particular blogroll fills it is unworthy of them.
Kanu has been overused in my opinion, there are only a few really good figures of her out. Kanu from Koihime Musou, or other Koihime Musou characters, should be the new rage instead of Ikkitousen. They probably plan on milking Ikkitousen to the last though.
And I agree, lots will go for the Rei on bike one.
