There were not many cosplayers I would deem as “good” in all senses of the word. Indeed not just the costume must be nice; where possible, the looks, the overall figure, as well as the attitude given in poses and sometimes behavior must be of a certain level. I am a noob in such an area of course, when regards cosplay, but I do at least know of some standard that must be upheld when it comes to cosplaying.
Edit: The previous three parts can be found in the following links – Part 1, Part 2 and Part 3. Aggregate post for all known blogs that covered the event can be found at Team Blue.
And certainly, there were a total of maybe 3-5 I felt were really good at the event. And the best of them all, was the girl below.

In case you are wondering who she is (how could you, such blasphemy to gaming culture), this girl is cosplaying as KOS-MOS (not sure what version of KOS-MOS) from the Xenosaga series. The best cosplayer there indeed. She had the height too; she stood, with the heels, at 175 cm (5′9″). KOS-MOS is probably taller than that, as KOS-MOS is an android. I bitterly regret not being able to take better pictures of this cosplayer, certainly my pictures below do no justice to the magnificence of this cosplay.

When she first entered, she was with her group of friends, with at least one friend holding her gun (accessories) and one or two professional photographers or the like. The instant me and Squee spotted her entering, we waited for her to get ready. We were definitely not the only ones; a crowd soon gathered waiting for her. After about 5-10 minutes, one of her friends got done with her costume, and then she asked her to turn around.
“Turn around?” she asked, obviously confused, as she believed it was her friend who wanted to take shots of her. “Yes, turn around!” So she did, bewildered, looking back at her friend. “And start posing!” The friends take off from the area as she finally realizes the multitude of photographers hungry for shots of her. The instant she turned back, even before her friends fully left the shot, people were snapping away like dogs at an intruder’s feet. It was funny and awesome at the same time. Such is the power of the best cosplayer. I heard she also did a wonderful Ignis from Jingai Makyo last year, I forgot at which event. I wish I had shots of that.
Of course, though I am no Gundam fan, certainly credit must go, as the second best cosplayer IMHO, to this Gundam EXIA cosplayer, helped by 0ne (whom I met a little earlier, and again at the Gundam cosplayer’s spot) and others, including Windbell. Certainly, he must have been sweating buckets inside the suit.

I had almost no chances of taking such a close-up shot of him; there were, obviously, masses of people surrounding him despite him being in a backwater part of the event. So I settled at first for taking pictures of the people taking pictures of him, as well as some zoomed-up shots from far.

Then KOS-MOS and her group walked past looking for a spot to take better pictures of her, for a professional photography session, I do believe. When they could find none they started walking back the way they came, right past the EXIA. This was when 0ne then requested KOS-MOS join in as part of an “epic battle” photoshoot, and she obliged with possibly some confusion. I could not pass up on this, so I slipped into the front of the crowd the moment I had a chance, taking a sleeping Buddha stance at some point too. Here are the following shots I managed to take while near the floor.

At the start.

They cross blades – who will win?

The full mecha. Guy at the back was smart though, he managed to take shots of KOS-MOS’ face and also avoided the crowd. I was wondering what he was doing there until he moved closer to take pictures of KOS-MOS, and I promptly wanted to hit myself for not thinking the same in order to take better pictures of KOS-MOS.

The half mecha. An android means an artificial human, something like a robot with artificial intelligence built-in.

The fight continues. I do believe at one point KOS-MOS was holding one of the EXIA’s swords.

KOS-MOS moves away for a bit and I was able to snap some full-body shots of the EXIA from my position, thankfully.
So there you have it, two of the best cosplayers at the event. Certainly, I hope KOS-MOS will appear again, so I can take better pictures of her, and perhaps, manage to take one with her this time round.
