Well this is the first one I will be doing of the monthly reviews at the end of each month, complete with a preview of what I hope to accomplish for the next month.
Just judging by the post count for each month alone, this month tops all the others in terms of the number of posts, and the quality as well. Here is a summary of what I achieved for the blog for this month.
About Me & The Blog
So I finally sat my lazy ass down and wrote up on myself and the blog. The three posts can be found respectively in the three links provided below my blog’s logo at the top left of this blog. I also managed to finally come up with a satisfying logo of the blue panther which I always wanted since the start of my PC online gaming days, which would be 1996. Logo image below.
I also created a few new categories, the full details can be found in the “About The Blog – Post & Features” post.

Anime Girl of the Month
The Anime Girl of the Month for March ‘08 was Yin, did you miss reading her article? If yes, just click on her name and head over to read about her now. Hope you caught Darker Than Black already, which I deemed to be the Best Anime Series of the Year last year in my personal End of Year Awards. I apologize for the lateness in which I did her article, but at least it was within the month.

Figure of the Month
And as always, the Figure of the Month article was done “on time”…alright I kid. The Figure of the Month section was only started this year (as opposed to the Song of the Week section, which started at nearly the same time as this blog), and this month, I redid January’s and also completed all current Figure of the Month articles to date in three days or so.
In any case, this month’s featured figure was Ira Blanc Neige Gardenias (in swimsuit) from Shining Tears. If you missed her article, you can always go back and read it now. A worthy buy indeed, as expected from her manufacturing company, Max Factory.

Special Features
Did a lot of them this month. Here they are in chronological order, in case you missed them.
The Psychology of Tests – Life As It Is Today
On Gaming
One For The Fansubbers
Follow-up to Fansubbing
Though “Figures On Display” and the posts about me and the blog are also considered “special features”, they are not included her since they are talked about in other sections.
The first article is a blog post I wrote up on my old blog, which I saved and brought it over. It talks about the testing system we have nowadays, and on the education system. The second one touches on the genre of games called “RPGs”, as well as on the arcade community and why the arcade is considered the best gaming atmosphere IMHO.
The last two are actually one article combined, but I made a mistake in the first and had to correct it with a new post. They are a response to an interview of Tofusensei, a long-time fansubber, some time ago in ANN (link at sidebar).
And without an image to insert here, here is one of Kos-Mos from the game series Xenosaga.
Figures
I did get my display cabinet this month, and have already set it up. The full photos can be found in the feature I did up for it, Figures On Display. If you are interested in my small display cabinet, do take a look.
I also offered my help with La Tendo (link at sidebar) preorders, the exact post can be found here. In terms of figures, the “harvest” was rather unfruitful this month.

Anime
I finished another series this month, rather old since it aired in 2005, Solty Rei. The comments I made on it (along with the link to the ANN section on Solty Rei) can be found here. Aside from that, the most complete list of anime series that is airing in spring in Japan (with many yet to premiere) can be found in the article right before this, the link is here for your reference.
The 2nd Annual Seiyuu Awards was also held this month. My comments on it can be found here. Image below is of Integra Martel from Solty Rei.

Games
I made it a point to finally comment on Soul Calibur 4, Namco’s last installment in the SC series. For the full post, click here to find out what I had to say about the new characters that were announced recently.
Other than that there have been really no movements for me in the gaming industry that I felt I should take note of, at the moment. Image below is one I found of Amy via the Calibur Forums (the thread link can be found in the post I made).

Multimedia
I only found out about Dead Fantasy II two days after it came out, and I forgot how I found out about it. In any case, the feature can be found here, complete with links to the streaming versions on GameTrailers.com. Enjoy t3h awesome.
And just yesterday, I found out about Vocaloid’s version of “Still Alive”, you can read the post here.

And that about sums it up for the month of March folks. Other than my stupidly self-inflicted lulzy injury, there really is not much else to say other than what I covered for this month. Now we take a look at what I plan to do next month.
April ‘08 Preview
The month of April will have a lot of anime shows that I want to watch start airing. Though I will probably blog on first impressions, I will not be doing any episode reviews and such. I already mentioned before, others can do that far better than me and I am not interested in spoiling things for others.
Other than that, there should be an outing planned for my group of friends and meeting up with certain fellow otaku bloggers (which you can find in my blogroll at the left). Hopefully we will be able to get together, it may not be a big trip, but at least, it is a good chance for us to know one another better, and see each other in person. I am sure in bigger countries, that would certainly be quite the problem if people wanted to meet up. One of the (few) good points about this place I guess.
The Anime Girl of the Month for April will be Integra Martel, from Solty Rei, whose picture was seen above. The Figure of the Month will be Elwing in her swimsuit version, from the game Shining Tears. If anyone can give me advice on how to remove her skirt without destroying it in the process (thanks to her big hip), please do. I lack pictures of her in just her 2-piece alone. Both girls also have something in common, can you guess what? If you already know, pray, do not tell the others! Let them guess.
I expect the arrival of quite a few figures in La Tendo as well in April, though as to which ones exactly I can hardly be sure. Shipments can be really delayed, or really fast in timing. So I shall not conjecture as to which ones will arrive, but rather place hope that the ones that I preordered will arrive on time and as scheduled.
The special feature I have planned for the month of April is on working out. It will probably be a tetralogy, since I need to write quite a bit and want to split them up into sections so people find it easier to read.
No graphics are currently planned to be made in April since I am so lazy, but once I get Adobe Illustrator I might try my hand at some vector images since those are always better for screenshots off anime and stuff like that.
I leave you with this picture of Bonne Jenet, whom you might recognize from the Fatal Fury series, and whom I use as a secondary characer in KOF: MIRA. Stay tuned for the month of April!
March madness,
Panther
