This week’s Song of the Week is Dango Daikazoku by Chata, from the anime series CLANNAD. Though I never wanted to watch the series, I first heard this song on a blog related to figures, while searching for the figure of Mai, and it has been stuck in my head since. I got kind of owned when I found out it was the ED to Clannad, but nevertheless, it is a nice relaxing song to listen to.

The music was perhaps what got me hooked, never mind the singer’s pitch, which I know not many of you (or your ears for that matter) will agree with. The karaoke version is also just as nice, with the soft part going on to the grandiose part, before ending in a soft “Dango, dango, dango, dango…”

For the uninformed, here is what a dango really is. I have yet to taste one, but I sure would like to try. I probably will enjoy the red bean paste one.

As to the lyrics, Words of Songs has the full Kanji, Romanji and translated versions, so I will not be adding them here. All credits for the song translation goes to Atashi, the author of Words of Songs.

The song is available in my IMEEM for your listening pleasure. Enjoy.

Ahha, I thought that was where I could get them but Raven (see Related Blogs) told me there was a better place. Thanks though, might try them out sometime…Taka is expensive, maybe when I get money lol. Hardly mind chewy stuff, until they get stuck in my teeth.
